How quickly will my child move from beginner into intermediate and advanced classes?
With the many years of experience that our instructors have, they are able to accurately assess when each child is ready to move to more challenging child dance lessons. They are able to find that “sweet spot” between moving too quickly and getting overwhelmed or moving to slowly and becoming bored. Each child goes at a different rate, and that is perfectly fine!
Can my child take dance lessons in more than one style?
Beginners are advised to stick with one to start with so that they can build a strong foundation from which to move forward. It is not unusual for someone to have one style as a focus and take classes in others that will help them perform better at their main style. Adding another style later to see if it would be preferred is possible, as well.
At what age can my child begin taking dance lessons?
It depends on the style of dance. We have children as young as two involved in certain types of dance, while some other styles, such as lyrical, are most appropriate for older children beginning at age 9.
