If your child dances at our child dance studio, they’ll probably spend more and more time at our location as they join one of our competitive teams or start taking advanced classes. When this day comes, you’ll probably pack a dance bag for your child to take every time they have a class at our child dance studio. What should you put in this bag? Here are some of our recommendations:

  • Dance shoes—Your child shouldn’t wear their dance shoes when they walk into our child dance studio – they should put them on right before class. Make sure your child always has their shoes in their dance bag before they leave for class.

  • Extra tights—Tights snag and rip easily, especially if they’ve been worn several times. Put a few pairs of extra tights in your child’s dance bag, so they’re never without this necessity.
  • Hair accessories—There’s nothing worse than trying to dance with hair in your face. Put a few extra hair ties in your child’s dance bag, as well as a pack of bobby pins to keep those stray hairs in place.
  • A snack and water—Dancing is a great way to work up a sweat and get exercise! But all this movement can make your child hungry. Make sure your child always has a big water bottle and a healthy snack with them in their dance bag.
